2/13/12

The author discusses Odysseus' decision making skills, and how impulsive he is. Many people have the same qualities Odysseus did, so in that aspect it is still relevant. It also discusses his dependence on others, his cunning, and his determination to return home. It talks about how important independence is, and not to act on impulse, because this can lead to bad fortune. The Final reason the author gives, arguing that THe Odyssey is still relevant is, human interaction and emotion continues to stay the same, shown by Odysseus' longing to see his wife again.
